The 2025 LIEAP season is ending on Monday, March 31, 2025. Below are the directions on handling LIEAP applications at the end of the season.

Handling of Applications Received on March 31st – Applications must be received in a DCF office by close of business on Monday, March 31, 2025. To meet this criteria, we are asking that DCF offices handle as follows:

• Check your drop box at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025.
  
  
• Date stamp all applications received by COB on March 31, 2025 and prior with the date received;
  
  
• Applications received prior to COB on March 31, 2025, are to be processed as normal with one addition. That addition is that when imaging the applications beginning Monday, March 24, 2025, also image the envelope and make sure that the postmark date is clear.
  
  
• Applications received after 03/31/25 COB, date stamp April 1, 2025, or later as appropriate. These should be imaged (including the envelope showing postmark) and then simply register and LIEAP staff will deny via negative action for reason of “Application outside LIEAP Season”.

NOTE: If you have individuals that come to the front desk requesting an application on or after March 20, please advise them that they should not try to mail the application but to bring it back to your office for submission. This is necessary as in some areas, it can take up to 10 days for mail to reach a LIEAP processing office and an application mailed prior to but not received until after March 31, 2025, will not be eligible for consideration.
